Pukukoodi
Opiskelijatapahtumien pukukoodit riippuvat vahvasti tapahtuman luonteesta.
Yleensä pukukoodi on ilmoitettu selkeästi tapahtumakuvauksessa tai mainoksessa – se voi olla mitä tahansa opiskelijahaalareista valkoiseen solmioon. Pukukoodin noudattamista kaikissa tapahtumissa, joihin osallistut, suositellaan vahvasti. Joissakin tapahtumissa pukukoodi on paljon tiukempi, kun taas toisissa voit antaa mielikuvituksesi laukata!
Tässä on kuvauksia joistakin pukukoodeista, joihin saatat törmätä eri teekkaritapahtumissa.
Themed dress code
For a lot of sitz parties and themed events, there is a creative but specific dresscode that follows the theme. These are the events where you can let your imagination roam wild and you can put on the best costume you can come up with!
It is encouraged to follow the themed dresscodes since often the best dressed get a prize! It also makes joining the event more fun when everyone is devoted to the theme and the atmosphere.

Overalls
More often than not, the dresscode for events is overalls. If you’re going to a themed event, the dress code description will, for example, say “Tourist outfit + Overalls”.
However, if you’re ever unsure whether you’re supposed to wear overalls, don’t hesitate to ask a friend or reach out to the event coordinator!
Overalls are big part of Finnish student culture

Smart Casual
There are many versions to what might be considered as smart casual but it refers to a mix of a professional and a casual look.
There is a more casual version which refers to company visits or other events of the same nature. A business casual look is good for these sort of events. This means something similar to a button up paired with jeans or straight pants/ a skirt paired with a neat shirt.
For a more professional smart casual outfit, a suit or a clean knee length dress are suitable options.

Annual Balls
When it comes to annual balls, the dress code is often the most strict since it is a white-tie event. For men, the dress code is a white-tie tailcoat. In case that is not possible, a dress suit in a dark color is also acceptable.
For women, this means a full-length evening gown. The dress may be revealing but in that case, it is encouraged to wear a scarf or a bolero jacket to cover your shoulders for the beginning of the evening.
Guild Ribbon
The guild ribbon is worn at academic ceremonies and for representative functions with a suit or a formal dress. The ribbon is usually worn by guild members, officers, or alumni.
Here are the key instructions for using the guild ribbon:
Worn position: (MEN) The ribbon is placed from the right shoulder over the chest to the left hip. (WOMEN) with evening dress it is tied as a bow (rosette) on the right chest.
Badges: Guild badges of merit or honors are often used with the guild ribbon.
