Welcome to LUT, Newcomer!

The Fresher Guide consists of important information about starting your studies in Industrial Engineering and Management (IEM) at LUT Lahti.

Make sure you have accepted your study spot in Studyinfo! Make sure to also enroll for the academic year and pay the required fees. You can learn more about tuition fees and enrolment here. One of the most important information sources is eLUT, and as a Newcomer you should read the ‘Starting Studies‘ -page thoroughly. You can read more about resident permits, student healthcare and applying for housing there as well.

Your tutor will be contacting you around the start of August. They will also invite you to a Newcomers group chat where you can chat with your IEM peers. Before that, you can also join a Discord server organized by LUT. Most tutors are already ready to answer your questions there, regardless of your group!
