Kapital for Companies
Our guild was founded in 2023 to ensure IEM (Industrial Engineering and Management) students and professionals are supported at the Lahti campus. We currently have 3 annual courses of Bachelor’s students, and in Fall 2026, we will get our 4th. We also have Master’s programmes in Lahti, whose students are also part of Kapital.
Why us?
Kapital is the most efficient channel to deliver messages to the university students at Päijät-Häme and the Lahti area. We have a personal touch with our IEM students from day one through various communication channels and events.
We are an active student event organizer on the Lahti campus for all students, not only for our members. We have over 25 events planned to occur in 2026.
We are the only IEM guild in Finland which degree and education is fully in English.
Members
At the moment we have 120 active members in our guild. This is a high number considering that our guild was just founded.
New Bachelors
We are Finland’s only fully international Bachelor’s program in IEM with approximately 50 students starting each fall.
Events
We organise yearly 20-25 events that help our members connect with companies and learn about Teekkari culture.
People reach
In our campus here in Lahti, we can reach several thousands of people in LUT-University and LAB.

Kapital is a student association representing the Industrial Engineering and Management (IEM) students at the LUT University’s Lahti Campus.

Overalls
Our members enjoy custom teekkari overalls, a symbol of identity and belonging in our guild. They are worn at events, excursions, and traditional student culture activities, helping students feel connected and part of the Kapital community.
Annuall Ball
We host the Annual Ball, a highlight of the year where students, alumni, and partners come together to celebrate, network, and enjoy Finland’s only fully international IEM Bachelor’s program.
Excursions
We organize 2-4 excursions yearly that help our members connect with companies and learn about possibilities in Finland, combining professional growth with fun student experiences.

Orientation Week
During Orientation Week, new students get a warm welcome, meet peers, and learn about guild activities, teekkari traditions, and student life in Lahti. It’s the perfect place to start making an impact.

Our Guild Room is the hub for members to socialize, study, and connect with peers. It’s the heart of Kapital’s student community. If you want your product placed where our members are, this is the place.
