In the summer of 2026, Lahti’s Teekkaris decided to build something of their own.
Not a ready-made kit. Not a huge budget. Instead, a trailer sauna built with the true spirit of technology students.
The goal was a simple idea: the spirit of technology students can be built even on a small budget.

The sauna, built for around 2,000 euros, was created through the efforts of an active membership, and a large portion of the costs was covered by donations. The project demonstrated what can be achieved when people join forces to get things done.

During that first heating-up session in Lahti with Teekkari caps on heads and Jaloviina in hand, it was clear that this was becoming more than just a single construction project. It was a meeting point for Finnish sauna culture, the teekkari spirit, and Kapital’s own hands-on ethos.
